The team takes on a variety of missions-which may involve violent firefights, hand-to-hand combat, and nautical battles-in various Southeast Asian locations, even going as far as Phu Quoc island of Vietnam and when not doing much, the members of the Lagoon Company spend much of their down time at The Yellow Flag, a bar in Roanapur which is often destroyed in firefights. Lagoon Company does business with various clients, but has a particularly friendly relationship with the Russian crime syndicate Hotel Moscow. They transport goods in the 80-foot (24 m) Elco-type PT boat Black Lagoon. Their base of operations is located in the fictional harbor city of Roanapur in southeast Thailand (somewhere in the Amphoe Mueang Trat district, likely on the mainland north/northeast of the Ko Chang island or on the island itself). The story follows a team of pirates/mercenaries known as Lagoon Company, that smuggles goods in and around the seas of Southeast Asia in the early to mid 1990s. Funimation later licensed the OVA, which also was licensed by Kazé in the UK, for release in Spring 2013. The anime was dubbed and originally licensed in English by Geneon Universal Entertainment, now licensed by Funimation Entertainment, in North America. Madman Entertainment licensed the anime in Australasia and the United Kingdom.
Viz Media began releasing an English translation of the manga in North America on August 12, 2008. A five volume original video animation series, titled Roberta's Blood Trail, was released from July 2010 to June 2011. A second season, subtitled "The Second Barrage", ran for twelve weeks starting on October 2, 2006.
It was later adapted into an anime television series, by Madhouse, that aired from April to June 2006 for twelve episodes. It has been published in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday Gene-X since 2002, and nine collected volumes have been released so far.
#Black lagoon season 1 2 series
I prefer pay half of metade for the uk market, might get an ugly box with no so good imagem quality, but from what I've seen, it suits me well so happy days.Black Lagoon (ブラック・ラグーンBurakku Ragūn) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rei Hiroe. By this time, portuguese market was already dead at that for me long ago.Īnyway, what i mean is, i do like fancy us packages but i just feel like spending 40/50 to eur to get something nowadays. Then later, because of videogames, i've started to get other websites (uk ones) and later anime came with that i saw the really cheap prices. Once i found out planetaxel/axelmusic, i went for it.
I spent a lot on anime already but that was because my only possible market at the time was Portugal and things are quite expensive here when it comes to entertainment. Im a bargain guy nowadays and that doesnt help a lot. Too much money stopped at the shelves and that annoys me a little. I can easily wait for a couple of months to see if uk might have it or not.Īnyway, i dont have that much that want to buy cause i dont buy just to have, I buy what i know I'll be watching again. I'll just buy r1 stuff that isnt available in uk but not at the moment of its release. I bought a r1 few stuff 3/4 years ago but then stopped until last year where i bought initial d save collection and peace maker kurogane. Regarding US prices, i think they are a bit up from what i want to spend nowadays on anime honestly. Well, I'll think about that once i get one db player one of these days. Anyway, i suppose its possible to unlock BD players like dvd players.
